I've been playing Shining Force lately. It's been a while, and I really like the game, so I figured I'll play it in a way I've never played it before. I've played through it normally, I've played through it while grabbing all the characters and items and levels that I could, I've even played it while avoiding as many characters as I could... including all the ones who are supposedly forced on you for the opening battle (I call that Shining Influence mode). So this time, I decided to cheat.

Yeah, I know, cheating in the game is so uncool, but the way I saw it, why not? I've played it to death otherwise. I'm only using one cheat code. Level up with every battle. Using this trick I brought my main guy up to promoted level 99 in the first battle and everyone else up to promoted level 20 (I'm very patient). I'm going through the game and getting as many characters as I can and doing the same to them, except eventually I had to start bringing them up to promoted 30 and then 40 before continuing just to catch them up to the others. Now I'm in the battle against Kain, where in I aquired Bleu, and I've decided I'm going to use it to bring all my guys up to level 99 (Again, patient).

I'm pretty much finding it hillarious how all these enemies treat me like a weakling when my main guy can take down their precious god dragon thing at the end all by himself. When I reach the end of the game, I want it made perfectly clear to these game sprites that their entire army, dragon included, never had a prayr against even one of my guys. Of course, it did make the whole "ship is adrift at sea and our lives may end this way" part seem even more pathetic as all of my guys were pretty much just a few steps short of godliness at that point in the story. How Ironic it would be for the strongest team ever to die in such a way.

In other news, I'm sure most of you are aware of my two new deviations by now, but I have also improved my watchers list! I saw one guy's profile display his watcher's icons and I said to myself "Myself, you should do that too." and so I went in and did that. It looks so much better with their names and icons listed. Makes my page look a little more professional (*snort*) than before.

Also, an update about my cats, Poppet has also run off, it seems (Not to worry, Uno is replacing her in attitude), and Missy had gotten sick for a while, but she seems to be getting better now, which is good. Earlier this year we had 11 cats, now we have 8. Good knews is, the fewer there are, the more we can afford them. Still going to miss the ones that are gone, though.
